Christmas Lunch

You are invited to the 14 Dec 2025 Christmas lunch for the Croatian Cultural Society Wellington. It is the club’s biggest day of the year, and we look forward to seeing you there. Bookings are now open at our Google Form – we need bookings and payment by 30 November.
The main course will be largely catered, but we:
- have volunteers making ćevapi, octopus salad and punjene paprike/stuffed peppers to add a Croatian flavour; and
- invite members to bring a dessert plate to share, whether it’s from Croatia, NZ or elsewhere.
We are planning to cater for different dietary requirements, so please put down any needs on the booking form.
Timing
| 11am | Croatian Mass | Fr Bozjak is coming down from Auckland to give a Mass in Croatian at St Anne’s Church (22 Emmett St, Newtown). He will join us for lunch afterwards. |
| 12pm | Club doors open | The club doors open at 12pm at 32 Hania St, Mt Victoria. Father Christmas – Djed Božićnjak 🧑🎄visits before lunch is served (parents, don’t forget to bring a named and wrapped gift for your child to pop under the tree for them). |
| About 12.30pm | Lunch starts | A buffet main course will be served. Dessert will be served after the main and members are welcome to stay and enjoy the day. |
Payment:
The Executive keeps the costs as low as possible to make sure we get a good cross-section of members, including young families.
- $30 per person for Financial and Life Members of the Club
- Members’ Children: $15 for those aged 12–17, free for those aged under 12.
- $50 per person for non-members or non-financial members
- For catering purposes, please book and pay by Sunday 30 November.
